Hi there dear Creative Friends!
What is it about weddings? Is it the fairy tale dress and happiness ever after that captivates us? Well, all brides are beautiful, a fairy tale princess and so was my niece. I have scrapbooked their wedding day a few times, just because it was such a beautiful wedding. The pair are so in love, and to see young love so happy is just wonderful!
The Vintage Artistry Serenity paper collection is so perfect for wedding photos. I loved the “Quiet Moments” paper for this layout.
I used papers from the 12×12 Vintage Artistry Serenity and Serenity Solids paper packs. “Quiet Moments” was trimmed a little smaller and distressed around the edges. I also randomly punched with a border punch. Then I adhered it to the Vintage Artistry Serenity Solid paper 4. To add more blue to the page, I used watercolor paint to color and splatter the background. The page was also splattered with Gold All Purpose Ink after the rub-ons were applied.
I created a flower cluster with ribbon and sequins on the right-hand side of the photo. I added gold all-purpose ink to the flowers and sequins to the cluster. To complete the flower cluster, I add a pretty gold bow.
On the left of the photo, I adhered a thin frame. I raised it with foam tape. I added rub-on transfers: flowers and the word “You” from the 12×12 rub-on transfer sheet, also rub-on sentiments, a small flower cluster, and pale gold sequins.
The focal point of this layout is a picture of my beautiful niece. I layered the photo on various pieces of Vintage Artistry Serenity Remnant pieces, rub-on transfers, and gauze. And to complete the layout, I used a sentiment on a small bookplate with the words: “You are grace and beauty”.
