Hi there Creative Friends!
I was immediately intrigued with the Artoptions Viken Card kit when I received it. I started making cards and somewhere along the line, it changed into a little mini-album! It was totally unplanned but I love how it came out. I used most of the elements in the card kit, some tags from the Artoptions Viken Tag set, and a few elements from the Artoptions Viken Ephemera Bits pack. It is a really quick project; the album is a lovely gift too. The album is a small tribute to my beautiful daughter, Electra.
The Artoptions Viken Card kit consists of 8x A2 cards and envelopes, 2 sheets of rub-on transfers, and 8 sticker seals. I adhered the cards with the white sides together with double-sided tape, then I strengthened the spine of the album with fabric tape. I used Spectrum Sherbet – 4″ Palletes Fabric Tape. The front and the back of the album are 2 envelopes glued closed. I adhered the two envelopes to the front and the back, flush with the spine of the album. The ribbon was adhered between the back cover and back page
I used the square photo frames from Artoptions Viken Ephemera Bits, rub-ons from the kit, and flowers to create small focal points and embellishment clusters. I tried to keep it “flat”, because there is very little space for 3d elements between the pages.
I added some stitched Washi tape to the pages too.
All the pages are more or less the same. I added extra watercolor, hand painted leaves, and die-cut butterflies of extra effect to the pages. And I used the rub-on sentiments as titles and comments on each page. A few sequence flakes were added on every page too. And that is it!
Here is a walk through the album:
