Timeless Romantic by Dorota Kruszewska

Hello!
In these terrible days, I wanted to create something peaceful and timeless. I made a delicate layout with lots of lace.

I used the page from the “Vintage Remnants” paper collection. It’s really amazing collection, dark and vintage, in lovely colors. My layout has many layers, as usual. I kept it in the colors of the old wall: grey, brown, navy and white. I aged the edges with brown water ink. I used brown paint to make a shadow. I primed the paper with clear gesso. Then I applied white structure paste. I also added black stamps from romantic “Gabi’s Ethereal” stamps set.

I put the whole layout on a square MDF base, which is perfect to hang on the wall.
I glued wide lace on the whole page to double-sided adhesive tape.
The layers under the photo I built from pieces of paper and wonderful frames from the “Natural stitched frames” collection. I also used a frame from “Natural stitched frames” set.

On the background, I put vintage cogs from “Serendipitous” layered embellishment set. I added flowers from four collections: “Garden Seeds – Cotton”, “Botanical Potpourri – Navy” and “Cottage Blooms – Linen”. I also put a lot of embellishments: lace, old buttons, metal elements, and chipboards as well.
I sprinkled page with gold paint, glitter, sequins, and microbeads. I hope you liked my combination of romantic lace and vintage cogs.
