Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Antonia with you today sharing a new layout. Spring has come, full of flowers and wonderful weather, and that’s why I decided to create a project in which flowers pop up from the background… If your memory is good enough, you will remember this same photo of Vega from my last project (check it on March 17th). Both the photographer (Miriam Osca) and Vega’s mum wanted to have a layout so I decided to do two different compositions for them. Instead of working with brown and green colors, this time I chose flowers in salmon arranged with blues and a bit of yellow.
This is my third project using Bookplates, they are perfect!!! With just some cardboard to elevate the layers, is it possible to create a “book” that looks like it has lots of pages…I also crash some pages and use Distress ink to make them look old. So this said, the bookplate is my focus point and I played around with it with flowers and other elements. One of them is rub-ons, the perfect embellishment for this kind of page: they bring to life any plain text or page. For this purpose, I used some flower transfers, splashes, coffee marks… I also added some tags here and there, so the book seems like what it is.
Afterward, I added lots of layers thanks to the laser-cut elements of the Curator’s collection, both in color and in nature. They are awesome!!! And it came the time to add the flowers. I started by adding the big ones on both sides of the book. Then, I went smaller until I felt comfortable with the result. To finish the project, I just added beads, art stones, and wishing bubbles and baubles.
