Hello, today I would like to share with you a layout I did combining a few of 49 and Market’s paper collections, archival board, flowers, and textures.
For the background I ripped the “Tattered Playground” paper from Tattered Garden and the backside of “Falling Leaves” paper from Rusty Autumn and inked the edges using a black ink pad. Then I glued the pieces together to create layers. I matted the photo with the Rusty Autumn “Falling Leaves” paper and Burlap Net Roll, then framed the photo with the piece that comes in the Seaside Blooms. My next step was to glue pieces that I cut out from the from the bonus sheet from the Dandelion Fields Laser Cuts, inking the edges and the Archival Board under and over the photo. The flower cluster was designed around the outfit my mother was wearing using the flowers listed below and foliage that comes in assorted flower packages.
For the treatment used on the Archival Board, I primed some of the pieces with black gesso then applied a coat of clear crackle paint. After the crackle dried, I brushed on the Iridescent Gold Silk. I primed pieces of the falling leaves with the clear gesso, then applied a thick coat of clear crackle, and placed pieces of the Archival Board onto the wet crackle. After the crackle dried, I trimmed the excess and rubbed in some black chalk to bring out the cracks.
