I hope you’re doing well. For my first creation in October I decided to make a change with a small round canvas in autumn colors. I love all these beautiful colors and mushrooms!!
For this canvas I used a piece of round MDF. For the background I used a 12×12 paper from the Vintage Artistry Peace and Joy collection that I glued with a double-sided tape. I cut another round in a 6×8 paper from the Vintage Artistry Hike More collection that I glued on a thick cardboard to give dimension. I put transparent gesso all over the 2 background papers.
With a stencil and chalk paste, I made patterns. As a focal point I took a laser cut from the Vintage Artistry Hike More collection and framed it with another laser cut frame. I also frame a piece of paper with writing. I also glued them with a thick cardboard to always give more dimension.
I really like putting wood on my creations, here I put four small slices of log and two large pieces of tree bark. I glued a little green moss on the bark and put some between the flowers. Now the bouquets !!! As usual I have used several varieties and colors of flowers, I really like doing color combos. Through my flowers I put lots of laser cut still from the Vintage artistry Hike more collection, foliage, mushrooms, a little bird, a little worm and butterflies.
I inked all the way around my papers and a little on the flowers with Archival Vintage photo ink. I put a little color around my elements with paint diluted with water and inks. To finish I made drops here and there with brown and white ink.
