Hello, 49 and Market fans!
It’s Antonia on the blog today sharing a new project! I don’t usually use photographs related to first Communion shoots, as I think this kind of photos are very formal. But this photo was really inspiring to me. The photographer said it was taken while the girl was trying to get rid of a small insect on her hair.
I love to work with blue tones on my scrapbooks. If you check my profile, you will see that is my mostly used color. I also like to match it with yellow. So for this layout I decided to go along with Ivory, Blue, White and some touches of yellow. To start with, I glued down the background paper onto a 2mm cardboard, and then started adding transfers here and there.
Then, set aside the background and worked a little bit with the photo, matting it with ephemera bits and layers of box cardboard. When everything was ready, I started working on the composition. I was not sure about that this time… My inspiration came thanks to the wonderful 49&Market spray flowers. I thought they could show perfect if I first set the sprays up and down next to the photo, and then adding the rest around.
And that was exactly what I did. For that matter, I chose to mix the blue and ivory ones. Although it might be difficult for you to find acetate leaves from previous collections, I decided to take some of them to add some texture behind the flowers, as I was not going to use any other kind of leaves in order to not adding more colors. To finish the project, I added some art stones and wishing bubbles and baubles.
