Hi 49 and market fans!
To begin with, I would like to wish you a very happy new year 2021, full of love, health, and creativity. Here is my first layout of the year, here in Quebec it’s winter, it’s cold, it’s gray and there is snow, so I decided to do a summer layout to put a little sun. For my layout I used the beautiful Vintage Artistry Shore collection, I used papers, laser cuts, and Rub-ons.
Here is a bit of how I did it. To start always a layer of clear gesso. I used a frame on the laser cut sheet to put the photo, I used cardboard to make a 3d effect, it gives more dimension to my page than if I glue the frame directly on the photo. I always place the main elements of my page before doing the background and pasting to be sure that the elements put on the background are in the right place and that it is in harmony.
So I put some Rub-Ons of foliage, plants, crab, washi tape, spots, and drops on the bottom. I also made some color spots with Distress Ink Speckled egg and Ground espresso diluted with a little water, I also made several drops here and there with these 2 colors
I stamped starfish from Gabi’s Underwater Treasures Stamp Set with Versamark and then embossed them with Distress Embossing glaze Walnut stain. Then I made the assembly of the bouquet of flowers and embellishments. I used 3 flowers, some leaves, layered embellishments, black thread, I cut a big shell from the collection paper and lots of laser cuts.
In the center of the flowers, I put a little Distress in Espresso with a little water and I also put white splash ink on the petals. I inked all around the page, the frame, and some laser cuts. I finished with lots of white drops here and there.
