Sweet Girl by Karola Witczak

Hello everyone, Karola here with a new inspiration for you today! I am happy to share with you my newest layout in my fav style – shabby chic with a bit of mixed media touches.

Have I already mentioned how I love Heirbloom Botanicals collection? Oh, I can repeat it all the time. Sweet, feminine, Springy and shabby – these papers truly stole my heart again and again! For my today’s layout background I chose Harmony Paper Pack sheet. The printed design is really helpful to start a build a page.

I started with adding a little bit of heat embossed designs, using Gabi’s Texture Stamp Set and white embossing powder. I wanted to have the texture design more visible, light and airy. At the same time I embossed also a few, variuos size feathers from Feathers Stamp Set to use them as an 3D embellies a bit later.

A large b&w photo of my sweet teenage girl were placed on doily lace chipboard to create dimension. I love to fussy cut, so I cannot resist and prepared a few cut-outs from Heirloom Cut Outs Paper Pack – on this 12 x 12 sheet you can find a lot of designs, you can use as an embellies – I love this idea! I cut out a few flower clusters and butterflies.

Then it was a high time to embellish my page with flowers and embossed feathers… I chose Garden Bloom – Pale Lavender and Blush to build a few flower clusters. Then I added a few flowers from Multi – Creamy Pink and a few more white roses in various sizes.

All the paper cut-outs as well as embossed feathers I glued on 3D tape to create more dimensional look with lots of layer. As a finish touch – added a bit of white gesso on the top of the flowers and other dimensional elements and a little bit of black splashes (used drawing ink).

I hope you like my today’s page and feel inspired!

Thank you for stoping by our blog today! “See you” tomorrow again! 🙂
