Hi folks 🙂
It’s Georgie here today and sharing my “Supernatural” layout. I love all stories that are magical and revolve around fantasy, it just takes you away to another place. So find creating layouts a good way to drift off there too! lol.
The base paper of my layout is from the Vintage Artistry collection (it is the ‘b’ side of Flora and Fauna), which I just adore!
I started with a grey wash background, building different intensities of shade. Added some light background stamping with the Square Stitch Stamp. Then some yummy black stencilling.
The flowers are Rustic Poinsettia Canvas and don’t be fooled… they are usually white, but I dabbled, (okay full guns blazing) with some black spray, which left a gorgeous shimmer and coated the centre pearls with a lovely silvery sheen too. Of course, I completed the messy flower look with some other mixed media goodies.
For mounting and backing the photo with layers I used cut outs from Vintage Artistry Ephemera Cut Out sheet, distressing and blackening the edges. Also to add some light contrast I used pieces of Burlap Ribbon Roll in Cream.
I kept colour to a minimum in this design, just added some splashes of blue and red to match the photo.
I fell in love with this picture when I saw it and instantly wanted to scrap it. The little pieces of paper blowing in the wind were exaggerated with additional splatters around the page, plus some micro beads and glitter glass added as if flowing out from the photo in an explosive kind of style.
Thats it from me today, I do hope you feel inspired to play with the gorgeous 49 and Market products – they are awesome!
