Welcome 49 and Market friends. Tina with you today to share a new project created with 49 and Market’s awesome new release of the Shipwrecked Mini Collection. This mini collection of 8 double sided patterned papers along with a Laser Cut sheet is must have for every collection. My project today is somewhat different from my normal style but it is a fun creation which I hope you will all like.

This is “Summer Fun”…

I have used for the background page of my layout the patterned paper named “Beached” and have added in modeling paste to recreate the waves on the water and also the bottom of the sea. To add more texture for the bottom of the sea I added in some decorative sand. I also added in some colour to this using Inka Gold in Cobalt. Using a stencil and more modeling, paste I added in the bubbles and coloured these with a little Inka gold also along with some black gesso to highlight them a little more. This took a little time and some more for it to dry naturally but it was well worth waiting I felt.

I didn’t add any matting to my 4 x 6 photo as I didn’t want to loose any of the added texture to my background or the pattern in the paper. I have added in some Dusty Attic Circle chipboards to frame the photo and capture the the attention of the viewer. I highlighted the circles around the photo a little more by drawing in some white with gesso around these. Also the reflection in the water of my daughter’s safety vest I wanted to highlight somewhat more so I have used a little of the colour red by using the gorgeously adorable Underwater Layered Embellishment Set from 49 and Market which is also a new release. This is a perfect addition to the Shipwrecked collection. I couldn’t love it any more.

I have next added in some of 49 and Market’s Wildflowers and Country Blooms in Cobalt. I think these have to be my newest favourite colour. They are just amazing. I have also added some cloud colour of these to the flourishes as well to give the Cobalt a lift of colour away from the background blues and black. And lastly I added in a few of the Wishing Bubbles from the Layered Embellishment Set also. I looooove Wishing Bubbles. They really are the greatest addition to any layout. And these ones on the Underwater pack have the added addition of a glitter to them which I think helps them to pop a little more.
