Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Thanks for coming to the blog to read about how I created this layout. First of all, please let me thank the photographer Tina Sokolovskaya, author of the original “On the wave” photo I’ve used on this project. It’s a great inspiring photo made some years ago. Inspiring for me but also for lots of people around the world. I’m grateful that she’s let me use her gorgeous work on my layout.
As the photo is in black and white, I decided to go colorful on this layout and chose the Coral color Vintage Artistry mini collection. Waves inspired me about using two papers and imitate those waves by just tearing one of the papers and pulling it apart. Then, I added some white crackle paste through a stencil and set apart to dry. When it was ok to continue working, I added some stamping and splashes with violet color. The stitching stamp set is perfect for a neat finish!!
This time, I wasn’t sure about the composition I was going to create. So I started working with flowers and layered embellishments from the Wander set until I was satisfied with the result. If you never tried Layered embellishments, please, buy a pack and play with them in your next project. I can’t stop adding layers of them: not only they seem great on the layout, but they also photograph perfectly. And as I do love those perfect leaves, I added lots of them 🙂
When everything was glued down on the background, I took some Wishing bubbles in Limeade color and add some here and there. Afterward, it was time for some art stones and a bit of white gesso to harmonize the whole project. In the end, I added the title above the photo.
