Georgie here with you again today, and I have gone inky- painty mad with this one. Just needed to let some creativity out in my style again, and you know me, ‘Messy’ may as well be my middle name 🙂
For the background I used Passage Paper Pack from the Heirloom Botanicals line. There is something about stripes that I love and is very contrasting to the organic, messy nature of paint.
This is just a good old fashioned close up of all the mixed media goodness. I used gold crackle, modelling paste with bright pink embossing powder, art stones, glitter, twine, more embossing powder…! 🙂
I used the Basic Roses Set in Creamy Pink to bring out the colours from the photo.
Just had to sneak this one in – love how the black ink splats turned out, they go up and down from the photo to help draw the eye inwards.
Close up of the roses – you can see here how the white embossing powder creates that sprinkle effect to add more interest.
I topped everything with a good dose of white gesso to knock a lot of the colour back. But love how this stamp (Postcard From Paris) from pops when laid over the top.
I used some flowers to place under the image from Rustic Collection – Poinsettia Canvas Blooms.
Thank you for joining me today, hope you’re having a lovely Sunday where you are!
