For today’s layout, I have chosen to use the Vintage Artistry Essentials range, highlighting it with accents of blush pink and vintage gold.
Most of this layout is made using the papers and laser cuts from the Vintage Artistry Essentials collection pack. I chose Essentials Essence as the base, and used Essentials Connotation under the torn edges that I added to the bottom left and top right sides of the background paper. I also used a torn strip of Essentials Connotation across the page to form a base for my layout and embellishment clusters.
I have added some gold paste through a stencil on the background in the areas that will be the top left of my photo and the bottom right of the framed cluster. I added splatters of gold paint in these areas as well. Gold works perfectly with the warm tones of the Essentials range.
The 4×6 inch photo is mounted using foam tape and then I have created a large cluster to the right of the photo using a frame, twig wreath, butterfly, and word phrase from the Essentials Collection Laser Cuts; tags cut from the Essentials Journal Card paper; a binder clip in antique bronze and a selection of flowers that mirror the larger flower cluster to the left of the photo.
To the left and wrapping around the bottom of the photo, I have created a flower cluster that combines flowers and leaves from the Essentials Laser Cuts with Garden Petals flowers in Parchment and Royal Posies flowers in Orchid and Marble. The tip I find with flowers is to create a base, stick it down, and then layer in smaller flowers and laser cuts to give more depth and interest to your flower cluster.
I have added a butterfly from the Essentials Laser Cuts to the top of the cluster, the title also from the Essentials Laser Cuts, and a random sprinkling of the epoxy dots from the Essentials Wishing Bubbles and Trinkets around the flowers. The layout is then finished by adding gold micro beads around and through the large and small flower clusters.
