Hi everyone!
Today I created a layout with the superb ARToptions Avesta collection, the colors are beautiful and there are lots of new interesting items like tags, images to cut out behind the packaging…
When I start a page I don’t take a chance I always put a layer of transparent gesso on the entire surface of the background paper even if I don’t know yet if I’m going to play with the inks and the water. I chose a paper from the Vintage Artistry Sage collection as the background for my layout. I then made patterns with chalk paste and a stencil. When everything is dry I made spots of pink spray ink here and there, I diluted them with water to make a watercolor effect.
Under the photo, I put a large round chipboard that I left natural, an element of the laser cut package from the Curators Botanical collection, and two large squares with a seam that I cut from the packaging cardboard ARToptions Avesta – Laser Cut Elements. As usual, I put several flowers on my creation, I used Royal Spray Bashful, Enchanted Petals – Mint, Garden Petals – Ballet Slipper, and Enchanted Petals – Flamingo. I cut the foliage still in the cardboard packaging of ARToptions Avesta – Laser Cut Elements.
I added several pieces of ART options Avesta – Ephemera Bits, ART options Avesta – Tag Set, ARToptions Avesta – Laser Cut Elements, and ARToptions Avesta – Chipboard Set. I wrapped two pieces of cardboard with Curators Essential – 4 ″ Fabric Tape Happiness that I slipped into the montage below the photo, it’s a nice way to use washi tape other than glued to the bottom of the page.
I could not miss the new rub-on transfer from this collection, I have put it all around the montage. And I ended, as I do almost always, with lots of white drops.
