Hi there dear Creatives!
I’ve been itching to play with the beautiful soft Vintage Artistry Sky Collection and it is just perfect for the Matric Dance photos of my daughter don’t you think? I just love this collection; besides pink this turquoise blue color is a firm favorite of mine! And it matches the color in the photographs perfectly! I wanted to use two photos and was inspired by the February sketch challenge as you can see!
The background was built on the “Vintage Artistry Collectors Paper 04” and the next layer is the “Sky: Bibliophile” paper that I trimmed to 11.5” x 11.5” and distressed. I stared the layer focal point with a piece of old book paper and layers with pieces of the Vintage Artistry Everyday Ephemera Stack.
Layering with 49 and market products is just so easy! On this close-up, you can see the different layers as well as the Doily Rub-Ons and the stenciled Doily with texture paste. Also, a little gold ink splatter.
I couldn’t resist using more of the Vintage Artistry Rub-Ons randomly across the page. You will also notice more stenciling with texture paste as well.
To accentuate the elegance in the photographs I wet embossed two chipboard elements with Gold embossing powder to form part of the embellishment clusters together with the flowers.
I added leaves from the element pages to compliment the flower bouquets and added a few small Guiney Fowl feathers. I also added gold half pearls for dimension.
The chipboard title was painted with gold paint and the photos were raised with extra chipboard and foam tape at the back. And that is it, layout done!
