Shabby chic cards by Karola Witczak

Hello 49 and Market friends!

Shabby chic is definitely my favorite style, even if I can’t resist and trying to add a bit mixed media techniques or modern twist to my projects. Feminine, flowery, delicate, layered – it’s all about I love in papercraft. So, today I would like to share with you 2 cards I created recently.

Both of them are made using Heirloom Botanicals collection. I used Passage and Harmony papers to make a background for my cards, but before I glued them onto card’s bases, I added white texture paste on the edges of background and a bit on the papers as well. This way is my favorite to add both nice texture and dimension.

I choose beautiful quote and titles from Gabi’s Hibiscus Stamps Set and stamped it onto cards background using permanent ink pad. Truly stunning font and versatile words – you can use them for cards you craete for friends or beloved ones.

I love fussy cutting (who do not love when we use 49 and Market papers???) so I cut out a flower bouquet from the papers and added on to square card with 3D adhesive cubes.

Flowers are most important on my cards – I strogly believe that with tons of flowers we have opportunity to give someone additional flowers bouquet, which is eternal, flowers do not fade, and the recipient will be able to enjoy them forever. For rectangle card I used: Vintage Shades – Blue Bouquet and Garden Bloom – Pale Lavender. For square card I build flowers cluster using Shimmer and Shine – Amber Fleur Des Champs set with a little help from Garden Bloom – Pale Lavender and Vintage Shades – Yellow Blossoms.

I hope you will like my today’s cards and will use them as an inspirations when you will need a card for someone’s special.

Have a great and creative day!
