Hello, 49 and Market fans and happy New Year!
I’m really happy to be here with you for another year, sharing my works. You may also know that I’m not fond of creating dark layouts, this one will be the only one for 2020. Why? I chose this gorgeous photo made by _mad.productions_, as it makes me feel like “celebrating” something big, so it was perfect to celebrate the new “Roaring twenties” we are starting.
I wanted to stick to just two colors because I don’t feel comfortable adding more when working with dark shades. So that being said, I looked for flowers and decoration in yellow and gold to match the photo. As I always do, I started working on the background. I applied some texture paste through a stencil and covered it with black embossing powders, heating it. When it melted, I made some stamping here and there and made some splashes of gold over the zone I was working on.
Chipboards were covered with embossing powders in gold and painted with black gesso, and so these were the first layer of my composition. Over the chippies, I created layers of flowers and, finally, the photo. To add some texture, I took some Wishing Bubbles (still didn’t work with them? You definitely should!!!), and pebbles and added them, along with some black inked art stones. I also cut some leaves made from inked watercolor paper and a mixture of the main two colors (black and yellow), so they helped with the decoration.
