Hi there 49 and Market friends and welcome back. Tina here with you today to share a happy and pretty cute layout created with a mix of the newer collections from Ethereal to Old School along with 3D Layered Embellishments and loads of gorgeous new release florals.
This is “Play”, my project for today.
My background layers were made up of 2 sheets of the Old School Collections’s “High School” and a sheet of the Ethereal Collection’s “View from Above”. I added in some texture using a Bricks Dusty Attic Stencil and modelling paste. Over this I added in strips of the chequered grey and also the barcode strip, which I always find useful in my projects. These were all layered up on board to give more dimension to my project.
Next I worked on adding in some brown to my project using the Layered Embellishments from the Ethereal Set. I mostly used the cogs and the darker leaves to embellish the page. I love to pull the embellishments apart to add into my layers. Some I cut in half so as not to waste them.
The addition of the Sea Glass and Parchments flowers were to add that pop to the darkness of the layout. And I think you will agree with me that it worked a treat. I am not always happy with working with a dark background but the use of the Dusty Attic Stencil with Modelling Paste also help to give the project a little more punch. For my project I used up 3 packs of the gorgeous new flower collections. Absolutely stunning pieces with greenery in each pack which always helps me with clustering’s of flowers on my projects. I also added in some fussy cut clocks from an older collection of Laser Cuts.
