Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Antonia with you today sharing a new layout. In today’s project, I wanted to use a specific color combo: navy blue and vintage gold/soft brown. I saw this combination on Instagram and thought I could give it a try. For this matter, I chose two papers for the background, one from the Wedgewood collection and another from the Everyday collection.
The photo is from the talented Doug Dorsett (@akaalec) and as I wanted to highlight it, I looked for the perfect frame and it was hidden among other laser cuts. So the first thing I did was gluing down both papers and using a stencil for embossing some gold powders.
Afterward, I added lots of rub-ons from three different packages. All of them are great to make any page pop! When this was ready, I started to work on the composition. As you know, my focus point is always the photo, so I tried to work around it, for which I’ve used lots of flowers and some laser cuts from old collections but perfect on color.
When everything was in its place, I added some 3d layered embellishments and a resin wing. Finally, I took some beads and microspheres to give the final touches. The project was still for some hours on the desk until I discovered an old wrapped wire on my stash and decided to add some of it to create some movement on the composition.
