I began my Layout by overlapping two papers. leaving the left and right side edge showing underneath the top page. I used a stencil and texture paste for my background and added some pale blue ink. I love to add stitching as I love the look and it also is a very quick and easy way of keeping the layered pages together.

The blooms and leaves I have used represent to me how the colors change during autumn, from yellow and orange through to browns and burnt ochre. Then finally falling from trees to the ground where the rejuvenation process begins. I added a butterfly amongst the blooms and I layered and stacked different items to build interest and dimension. The stitched frames and the natural Ephemera stacks are just wonderful and such fun to play with …

A friend of mine makes these stunning headbands featured in the photo. The headband to me represents leaves and stems as they turn different colors during Autumn. I named this LO PERFECTION because to me nature is perfect, full of layers and color, and form.
