Here I am to present my first May inspiration, a layout made with the collection Vintage Artistry Essentials. It is a first for me and I must say that it is a beautiful collection. I love its very natural and botanical design. I chose to work with this picture of my grandson «Leo» absorbed in his thoughts!

I chose the page Savor. I was inspired by the circle drawn on the page to create my layout. First, I applied a layer of clear gesso to the background. Then I layered some pieces of paper under my photo, I used the Ephemera Bits from the VA Essentials collection. The set contains a wide choice of embellishments. Under my photo, I used a frame, tags, paper alternating with layers of cardboard to add some dimension. I also added flowers from the new Royal Posies set whose colors are shaded off. They are simply beautiful.

I continued to add some embellishments, like the flower included in the pack of the collection, its size is important and imposes well in my layout.

To embellish my background I added washi tape from the same collection. I love this bird that makes me fall for as well as the words “Observed, lovely, my essentials….” All these new products are so beautiful and allow to achieve a harmonious layout and to be totally pleased.

To finish, I added some Wishing Bubbles & Trinkets, some Rub-on beads, and a few drops of white gesso for a touch of mixed media.
