Hi 49 and Market fans!
Today I am with you to show you my first creation of 2022. I wanted to make a winter creation, here in Quebec it is winter and everything is white but I decided to make an 8×10 canvas with colors burst. On this creation I put a lot of laser cut from the Vintage Artistry Mango collection. I love the colors in this collection.
To make my canvas full of texture I started by putting a layer of transparent gesso over the entire surface of the canvas. Then I made letter patterns with a stencil and white sand paste. I colored the background with Rust Effect Paste brown is another paste full of texture. I added a bit of gray color and even more texture with Rustic paint, it’s a paint full of little seeds inside.
I rubbed Wax Firebird all over the place to bring out all the little details. I found that it lacked color so I used Rainbow Color Yellow Amber it is a pigment powder that we mix with water and Fluid Tiger Orange diluted with a little water.
In the laser cuts sheets from the Vintage Artistry Mango collection, there were cups, I wasn’t sure what I would do with them so I had put them aside for several weeks. When I chose the photo I found that the cups had their place on this canvas, I did not put one or two but six cups. I did the editing with lots of laser cuts, flowers and foliage that I cut with dies from two green papers from the Vintage Artistry Hike More collection.
When everything was glued, I glued a few Art Stones and colored them with the same color of fluid that I used for the background. To give more dimension I made a mixture of white gesso and water to put on the flowers and to make lots of white drops everywhere.
