Today I want to show you my last creation of October. For this layout I used the new Vintage Artistry Naturalist collection. I love the colors of this collection.

I started by putting a layer of clear gesso all over the 12×12 Vintage Artistry Naturalist – Tattered Wings paper. I stamped with Springtime Harmony Stamp Set and Versamark on the background paper, then embossed with white powder. I continued with color, I used distress oxide ink pad speckled egg and weathered wood diluted with water.

When the ink is dry I sprinkle a little white embossing powder, it sticks on the ink stains and I heat it with a heat gun and it made beautiful white plasticized spots. I cut in the Vintage Artistry Naturalist – Journal Card paper, I distressed around the papers and I made a montage of papers under the photo. I really like putting lots of layers of paper, it gives a lot of dimension to our creations.

I added two frames, one on each side of the photo. You can use frames for a lot more than just framing photos. In the mountain of papers I added a few laser cuts of Vintage Artistry Hike More- 6 × 8 Collection Pack and a piece of Vintage Artistry In the Leaves Ephemera Bits which I cut in half to put one end in the top and one at the bottom, I don’t like to waste by hiding part, I cut and I collect elsewhere.
