Happy New Year 49 and Market friends.
I am back with my first layout for the year using the Vintage Artistry Everyday Collection. Whilst I was flicking through the pack I found the laser cute little note “No one but you”, and thought it was a perfect starting point for my black and white photo of my daughter.
I used the “b” side of Garden Variety as my background piece. This piece was primed with clear gesso and texture was added freehand with a little white Crackle Paste. Colour was added to this when it dried using Distress spray in Weathered Wood. To the background, I also added in some stamping using Gabi’s Ripple Stamp set and white embossing powder. This was added to either side of the photo. Also, I stamped in Archival Jet Black ink the word “Beachy” from the Vintage Artistry Shore Stamp set. Some random stamping with Pascale’s Rations Stamp Set was also added in. Additionally, I used the “a” side of “Lucent Ladies” to make torn cut and distressed pieces to add behind my black and white 4 x 6 portrait photo. These additional pieces were layered amongst some old boards to give more dimension.
To frame my photo I have used a Decorative Frame Set from Dusty Attic. These pieces were dressed with white gesso, crackle paste, and then coloured with Bisque Liquid Pearls and Distress Ink in Black Soot. A baroque corner chipboard piece was dressed in just Bisque Liquid Pearls. These pieces were cut smaller. I cut all these pieces and arranged them around the photo and papers. Accent pieces of chipboards were coloured in Black Soot Distress Inks with a little of the liquid pearls added randomly over this.
Clusters of flowers using Sugar Posies in Butterscotch and Fluff, as well as Sugar Petals in the gorgeous Blue Raspberry colour, were adhered amongst the layers of papers and chipboards. To some of the lighter shaded blue flowers, I added in some of the Liquid Pearls in Bisque to the centers. Finishing off I added in Glass Glitter in Black, distressed sections of Muslin, a couple of shells, and a cute little lighthouse trinket along with splatters of watered down white gesso and of course my title from the Laser Cut bonus Sheet.
