Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Antonia with you today sharing a new layout. Spring is here with us and this means rainy days but also sunny ones and lots of flowers. And that’s why I wanted to create a flowery layout in green and yellow with a touch of brown. As on many of my projects, the key point was the photo that the photographer Lana.photo.spain send me some weeks ago (thanks!). How stunning is to use every day in life photo to preserve our memories in our scrapbooks! And I had the opportunity to do so on this layout.
It took some time to look for the background paper I thought it was the best (a wonderful paper from Everyday collection), but when this was clear, I covered it with a thin layer of clear gesso and glued it down onto a 2mm cardboard. Afterward, it was time for some textured wordings of a stencil (I added some yellow powders to make it interesting) and add some rub-ons here and there. I love the new rub-ons, they are really fun to work with and give a beautiful touch to any background project. While this work was done, I started painting some chipboards and cutting out some leaves and paper flowers from the collection. I use to give them some texture with my fingers.
When everything was ready and dry, I started the composition. I did a first draft to check where to put the main elements and start gluing when I was ready. I wanted to add lots of layers composed of resin leaves, flowers, paper leaves, chipboard, and paper stacks. When the main focus point was created, I realized that I missed something on the left corner and created a bunch of flowers there. Do you feel the same as me? I consider the project gets better with it.
When everything was in its place, I added some beads and microbeads in copper, along with some art stones.
