New Year's Garland by Ana Paula Leal

Hello,
I bring you a different idea today, I see that people usually make garlands for Christmas, I kept thinking, and came to me with the desire to have a beautiful new year garland, with wishes for 2021 full of good times, health, peace, and prosperity.

I idealized my project on a circular base that I cut from a cardboard box, I made a clock stencil with textured paste and painted all the cardboard with very diluted gouache, after everything was dry I sprayed paint silver and tore at strategic points to show the wavy core. Brushstrokes of white paint were applied to add volume and illuminate the composition

I used many different paper flowers, die cuts of branches, butterflies and dragonflies, pieces of jewelry, epoxy elements, and laser cuts to make this floral arrangement all in light and soft tones. finished with a layer of gouache on everything to unite the elements and leave them with a more rustic look I pasted the phrase in Portuguese that will help me remember to value all the moments of the next year!
