Hello 49 & Market friends!
It’s Marilyn here and today I share with you a beach theme layout with a step by step video tutorial. I worked with the Shipwreck collection to create this page
I started applying a coat of clear gesso to the Underwater Treasure paper, This one has soft colors that go perfectly with the lovely photo by Emily Goodhart. I applied gel medium to the laser cut frames and starfish to make them more sturdy. I gave textures with a stencil and modeling paste to the paper. Once dry, I started to add acrylic paints to the background in very similar colors to the photo in light blue and ivory. While the paints were drying, I framed the photo.
I adhered a piece of cream Lacey Trim and on top, a piece of white cheesecloth, next I glued the frames and photo.
I took a piece of Jute Cording- 5 Ply and made three knots and adhered it to the bottom part of the frame, it gives a nautical look to the page. I started to embellish the page with the flowers: Enchanted Petals- Parchments and the Flower Mini-Series- Tangerines. I also added the Never Stop Exploring chipboards, layered embellishments, and laser cuts. I stamped randomly on the background with the Pascale’s Ration Stamp Set and Archival Ink.
Finally, I added some mini art stones and regular art stones with gel medium. I adhered some blue bubbles from the Layered Embellishments. I also glued some pearls and added some white paint splatters around all the work. I made a step by step video tutorial that I hope you enjoy…take a look…
