I love the new Christmas collection, ARToptions Holiday Wishes, and decided to challenge myself to use it to scrapbook some non-Christmas photos. The combination of reds and blues with the gorgeous florals make it a very flexible collection for many types of photos. Today I am scrapbooking photos of my friends and I enjoying Baileys filled eggs at Easter time.
I started with the Beacon of Light paper, as I love the florals down the left and the little cluster on the right. I knew it would be easy to cover the bird and lantern which were the more festive elements on the paper.
I used five 3×2” photos for this layout. Three of the photos I frames with the Curators Essential Key Lined Chipboard Frames, and two I backed with paper – Picking the Tree. I lined three of the photos up with the lantern on the left and two with the bird on the right, using a combination of photos with frames and those with paper in each spot.
On the left side, I layered a strip of torn paper from Picking the tree and a strip of laser cut lace from the Holiday Wishes Laser Cut Elements under the photos. I also created clusters of dressed text rubons at both clusters using the text rubons from Vintage Artistry Serenity 6×8 Rub-on Transfer Set.
I then embellished both clusters using some of the new florals, Florets and Natures Bounty in Salsa, Laser Cut Elements and Holiday Wishes Chipboard Bits. Isn’t that laser cut bow just amazing?
I then used some labels from the Laser Cut Element for my journaling and the title of Naughty or Nice? from the Chipboard Bits was just perfect.
There is a process video to show you exactly how this layout came together.
