Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Thanks for heading over the blog today. Have you played with Vintage Artistry collection in butter color yet? The layout I share with you is mainly done using the collection and the stacks, but also the great coordinating embellishments that 49&Market created: flowers and wishing bubbles! I do love to work with yellow and blue, so that was my first option when I started this new project. As I always tell you, the photo is your focus point, so it’s very important to check its colors and make it coordinate with the global layout. That’s why I added greens to the composition.
The very first thing I did was covering my chipboards with color: the big skeleton clock was painted in green with acrylic paint; the ornate chipboard was heat embossed with gold powders, and the title was covered with crackle paste and gold wax. Afterward, I prepared the background by applying a coat of clear gesso on a page from the wonderful Vintage Artistry collection. Before gluing it over a 2mm cardboard, I added some corrugated cardboard. Once this was done, I applied some crackle white paste onto the background through a stencil. Then, some stamping and splashes with white color before I started layering.
I was sure about using fussy cuts and laser cuts from the collection, so I took them and layered among lots of blue flowers from different packs. I decided to go with a two-tone of blue flowers to add interest. I also added some brown lace, which adds texture. The photo was mated with paper collage stacks, they are gorgeous!!!
To finish the project, I added some wishing bubbles in blue and yellow, along with art stones and some glamour dust.
