Hello, 49 and Market fans!
Antonia with you today sharing a new layout. Most of you know how much I like vintage photos and layouts, although it’s been a while since I did the last one that way! This beautiful photo of Noah caught my attention and decided to go again with a vintage layout. But recent 49 & Market collections are not like that so I decided to wait… until I make up the idea to use Avesta. Do you know that you have a pack of wonderful rub-ons from this collection? I took the decision of creating my own background with them
First things first: selecting a simple paper from the Everyday collection. Although you decide to work on a mixed media layout, this paper will not be attractive as it is. But it was for me. I glued it down onto a 2mm cardboard.
Afterward, using the 12×12 Avesta transfers, I added flowers here and there on top of the paper. I also added some texts and leaves from the rub-on transfer set of the same collection. Some Distress ink around the borders and everything’s ready to work!
The hardest part was selecting some flowers from my stash. So many beautiful colors inside! I took some Passion Pink, but also some in parchment, as I wanted to sweeten the effect and go along with the same colors as in the photograph.
Afterward, I took some ephemera bits to mat the photo and started layering. During this process, I also added some lace, as it was great with the photo and the environment I was creating. And to finish my project, I added some wishing bubbles and baubles.
