Hello dear 49 and Market fans!
The new ARToptions Avesta collection from 49 and Market is my new favorite collection. I love everything about it! the colors are beautiful; all the new elements are just awesome! I wanted to use all the new products of this layout because I could just not choose! This photograph of my sister Karin and I was taken many moons ago but is still one of my fondest memories with her. I can remember that day vividly. I think the photographer captured the special bond between us beautifully. And it works perfectly with Avesta. I am so grateful for having such a loving bond with my sister.
For the background, I used “Precocious” and “Sweet Romance” papers. The “Sweet Romance” paper was trimmed smaller and adhered to teal cardstock. I fussy cut the flowers from the “Precocious” paper and raised it with foam tape about two-thirds down. By now you must know that I love the Rub-on Transfers and on this background I used both the 6”x8” and the 12”x12” Rub-ons all over the background. I also used pieces of the Curators Essential Washi Tape: Stitched Set, the green stitches. And stenciled with red gold crackle paste randomly.
I created layers with elements from the ARToptions Avesta Laser-cut Elements and flower clusters with the Royal Spray; Bashful flowers. I added white die-cut leaves, art stones and “dusted” the flowers with white Gesso. I repeated this on the other side of the photo frame.
The string in all the tags was replaced with baker’s twine and I added a little copper ink on the edges of the stitched frame with my finger. I added hardware epoxies to one of the layers behind the photo focal point.
I raised the stitched frame with foam tape and layered the photo on the elements ARToptions Avesta Ephemera Bits. Finally, I added a chipboard sentiment as the title of my layout.
