Today I am with you to show you my first creation of the month of February. I made a colorful and flowery layout, yes I can’t wait for spring and summer, I’m already tired of winter, cold and snow. For this layout, I used the magnificent new Irrevocable Beauty collection.
Here is my layout.
I explain a little how I proceeded for this layout. As always I start with a layer of transparent gesso all over the background paper. Then I cut the background paper in half and I reversed the sides to have the flower motif in the middle of my page. I glued the two pieces on rigid cardboard.
I cut the large bouquet of flowers and butterflies on Sonnet paper, still from the Irrevocable Beauty collection.
I cut two rectangles from the scrap paper from the collection that I placed under my photo. Under the photo, I put several thicknesses of cardboard to give dimension to my page and to be able to place elements under the photo.
I made drops here and there with white and purple ink. Then I stamped with the Captured Adventure Stamp set 2 with a white and black ink pad. I used some Laser Cuts always from the same collection and from the Vintage Remnants collection and a lot of flowers, I love flowers, I put almost on all my layouts even if I have two boys, it’s is so beautiful !!! On the foliage chipboards, I put mint and pink paint on the small berries. And on the title chipboard, I put Weathered white embossing powder.
I added a few pieces of Lacey Trim cream. Finally, with a dry brush, I put a little white gesso on the
flowers, foliage, and chipboards to soften the color and give relief.
