Hi crafty people!!
It’s Nuneka here with a new mixed media layout, super easy and really beautiful… because who doesn’t love mermaids? I imagine mermaids as gorgeous creatures who can travel the oceans and know all the secrets of the depths, so that’s what I wanted to create, using as background one of Capture Adventures papers and laser cut elements from Seaside Shipwreck pack.
As I said, I kept it pretty easy. I protected the paper with clear gesso and added some watercolor wash with Lindy’s Magicals. I used beautiful soft colors turquoise – purple – pink to let the background paper visible. I applied some Unicorn Effect paste through a stencil, creating a divine holographic feeling which reminds me of fish scales. I also added a little stamping here and there with Captured Adventures Stamps.
To build the composition I used a resin piece with the shape of a trident and added lots of laser cut elements, some gorgeous flowers (Stargazers and Mini Series 1), and also some laser cut chipboard shapes, as well as wishing bubbles and layered embellishments.
