Today I’m presenting my layout, which I created for my friend.
She has recently lost a child. With this project, I wanted to support her in mourning and give hope that time will heal her wounds. My layout has many layers, as usual. I kept it in violet, grey and a little bit pink. I aged the edges with graphite paint. I used the same paint colors to make the shadow. I primed the paper with clear gesso. Then I applied pink and graphite structure paste.
I created the layout from a beautiful collection of “Tattered Garden” papers. I put the whole layout on a square MDF base, which is perfect to hang on the wall. On the background, I glued resin elements and a lot of lace. I added laser-cut elements and flowers from three collections: Galway Gray, Garden Seed Cotton, and Pink Flamingo. I also put black sisal, metal, clay and glass elements, graphite chipboards as well.
I sprinkled LO with glitter, sequins and microbeads.
I wanted my project to be full of tenderness and kindness. I hope it is well received.
