Hello, 49 and Market fans! Antonia with you today sharing a new layout, a sweet one this time. Like most of you, I’ve seen lots of mums and babies in photos but this one caught my eye. It is so sweet and tender!! And I’m not used to using an almost white photo, so this was new for me and I wanted to give it a try. I asked the mum (photographer Ksenia Belanger) for permission to use the photo and started to work as soon as she said yes. I was sure to use the Sage color from the Vintage Artistry collection. I needed more time to make myself around the color of flowers, although I finally chose greens, butterscotch, and whites.
After gluing the background paper onto a 2mm cardboard, I started adding lots of rub-on transfers from different collections. They mix and match perfectly! I also added some washi strips for textured details.
Once this was done, I started to work on the composition. As I wanted to highlight the wonderful photo of Ksenia, I used a chipboard frame as the focal point along with the image and started to glue down all flowers around them. Flowers and lots of green leaves! I even added some from 3D layered embellishments (I even cut them to fit my composition needs).
When everything was in its place, I added some beads and microbeads in vintage gold to give the final touches. I hope that you like it as much as I do. Maybe it is simpler than other layouts I create, but I feel that this photo was made to be surrounded by a sweet composition.
