Hello and welcome back today 49 and Market friends. Today I am here to share with you some “Serendipitous” creativity I had earlier this week. My goodies box arrived early last week from Janene and the moment I opened it my hands were quick to pick up this pack. I have to admit that I have never been a purple person, but I have over the past few years grown to love the colour.
The inspiration for this project comes solely from this cute photo of our boy “Rafael” taken as a puppy. Those eyes just play on my heart strings every time I look at them. When printing off this particular photo his chocolate fur coat really gives off a purple sheen so hence the reason for using this stunning patterned paper from the “Serendipitous” Collection. This piece has a most stunning background and really doesn’t call for a lot of media. But I did want to lighten the sheet a little so I did this by adding some modeling paste through a stencil and adding in some embossing powder to give it a shine.
I have used the “Hazy Morning” paper from this mini collection to firstly cut the flower image at the right corner. But I have also used the remaining piece to cut sections to lay behind my photo. I have used the dark side of “Rain Storm” to frame my photo which I have also framed with a piece of “Hazy Morning”. I always find it important to make my photo the most important part of the project, so having the contrasting paper is essential for me.
In the above photo, you will see the fabulous Laser Cut Elements from the “Serendipitous” collection pack. This is really an amazing mini collection made up of four double-sided papers including the 12 x 12 laser cut sheet and another easy to cut card and elements piece. I used mostly all of the the laser cut elements. They are just stunning and the pieces really are so intricately cut. Perfect for those who detest fussy cutting or those that just want a quick and easy layout to put together. My elements have been layered amongst the flowers and layers of papers. I then added in some 3D foam tape to give some of them height and I also added on a little Star Dust Stickles to make them pop and prettier if at all possible.
Products I Used:
Tim Holtz Stencil Measurements
Embossing Powder White
Muslin Tea Stained
Well that is all from me today. Stay tuned for more new release inspiration coming your way very soon.
Until next time take care and happy crafting.
