Hello, 49 and Market fans!
It’s Antonia on the blog today sharing a new project! It is summer holidays time and many of us like to go to the beach, walk by the seaside and enjoy the longest days we have (and also the hot summer we are having in Spain!). So for today’s layout I decided to use a sweet photo made by a friend, in which you can see him and his daughter Emma. And once I printed the photo, I realize the perfect paper for the background: Kaleidoscope from Painted Foundations Sherbet collection. It’s a funny paper full of colors so it was the one for this project.
So first things first: I glued down this paper onto 2mm cardboard to give some stability to the project. Afterward, I played along with lots of transfers and washi tape to add more funny spots and some texture. When this was done, I started to mat the photo. The most difficult part was choosing the right color of flowers. When you have a so colorful layout it seems tricky to look for the best color to match everything. After seeking them, I finally opted to use tomato and white ones and follow the flow of the background pattern to show it more homogeneous.
When I was satisfied, I glued everything down and added some small final touches with art stones and wishing bubbles and baubles.
