Hello dear 49 And Market friends!
I’m back on the blog today with my second project for March, which shares a couple of ideas I have been pondering as of late. Whilst a bit more serious, I really wanted to share some of my experiences during my recent trip to Europe. We visited Body Worlds in Amsterdam, and at the museum they had this exhibition on happiness and how the human brain functions. Happiness is certainly the one thing that we all desire. As a result, we go and search for it it so many ways. We tell ourselves that if only we can go on a holiday, or if only we had a bigger house, more money, a nice car, if only we can lose a few pounds and be a bit skinnier or have less wrinkles… the list can go on and on and on. The conclusion of studies and message of this exhibition was that happiness is not determinant by having excess of things. In fact one experiment showed that making decisions were much easier when people have a moderate amount of choices, rather than excess. They concluded that happiness is really determined by our own thoughts. This really struck a cord with me. Like me, you may have heard “think positive”, or “be careful what goes on in your heart, as it determines your whole life”, yet it never clicked until now. It made me realize how powerful our thoughts are and how life can be so much better, by just changing the way we think.
To create this layout, I used the beautiful Winters Edge Collection combined with the Captured Adventure Collection Laser Cut Outs Bonus Sheet. I may have mentioned this before, but I really love how versatile the Winters Edge Collection is. Despite having a Christmas theme, you can use these papers throughout the year, creating a whole range of different layouts.
As you can see I used a whole arrange of our flower collection using the ones I have had leftover from previous projects.
