Hello!

Today I decided to go back to my favorite retro and vintage designs. I created a layout with an old photo, posed, with a grain of salt. The project is about love and life as we want it to be. We set our own directions, make resolutions and decisions, we choose our partners as well. With a similar sense of humor 🙂

I used “Vintage Artistry” papers, which have a beautiful natural color palette. My layout has many layers, as usual. I kept it in the colors of the main paper, but I added a little bit of pink and violet accents to make the page more feminine and romantic. I primed the paper with clear gesso. Then I applied dark brown paint to make shadows under the wooden window.

I put the whole layout on a square MDF base, which is perfect to hang on the wall. I decided to create one main rich composition. The layers under the photo I built from laser-cut elements which are in the main collection of papers. I added flowers and guipure. I also put a lot of embellishments: ribbon, metal wings, resin elements, pearls, and string. I glued glitter and microbeads.

In the end, I glued the butterflies to those that were already in the graphic. Thanks to this, I achieved an interesting 3D effect. I sprinkled the page with black paint.
