In these times of social isolation in which we all live on the planet, it is good to remember happy moments outdoors in a newly lived summer and to realize that soon everything will return to normal and that we will live a simple and normal life again.
It was with this thought that I created this 3D board, so I could feel the cool breeze from the beach, walk on the sand and jump waves, listen to the sounds of the sea and seagulls. simple things before that are so precious to us now.
My project is of a large format card, cut into a single strip on thick paper measuring 23 x 72 cm, folded into six pieces of 12 cm. These pieces were strategically cut to form frames and give this three-dimensional aspect.
The entire structure was covered with the papers from the “SHIPWRECK” mini collection, which has a marine theme in its beautiful papers and elements. Its eight different patterns have been combined to give a marine look to the cover and inside of the card
I made compositions with the laser cutting coordination elements of the “SHIPWRECK” collection and with the layered ornaments of the “UNDERWATER” set.
With the various layers created with these elements, I tried to create 3D scenarios that, in addition to being a card, are also a decorative piece.
Chipboard elements with water-based paint inspired by the colors of the papers, bubbles coated with epoxy glitter, paint splashes in pastel colors … all to give the final touch to this project!
