“Life in Pictures” is my newest creation to share with you 49 and Market friends. I have been having fun today creating with all the latest new releases. There were so many to choose from that I took small amounts from each collection, I just couldn’t help myself. This creation today has been designed around this very cute photo of my husband from oh a few years back but still transporting around on two wheels. Well as they say some things just do not change. The photo of my husband was passed on to me by my mother in law who I know loves to see the photos get put to good use, and I am sure she knows that eventually one day they all will be. I hope you all have someone in your families that loves to pass down photographs to you.

My project started off with the patterned paper Savor from the 12 x 12 collection pack. This was primed and a little texture was made with modelling paste through a stencil. I also added in a touch of colour using some mists spray in a caramel chalk mist.

I then focused on building a base for my photo to sit upon. To do this I have used a few ephemera pieces from the Vintage Artistry Naturals Collage Stack. combined with a couple of pieces from the Vintage Artistry Anywhere Ephemera collection along with the first Laser Cut sheet of the Essentials 12 x 12. There are so many to choose from that I chose my favourite pieces rather than concentrate on just a sole collection. It really does show how versatile each collection is and how easily they co-ordinate with other collections. I loved distressing up the little picket fencing and the “Do not enter” signage to give the page an aged look and a little more masculine feel about it.

Finishing off my layout I only added in one pack of florals. I chose the Royal Spray flowers in Olive to create another level of dimension. OMG, I love these. They are an amazing colour and of high quality in workmanship. Each pack is jammed full of lots of different pieces enough to satisfy flower lovers like me. I was quite surprised that I wasn’t reaching for another pack. So if you haven’t got any of these in your stash yet, do yourself a favour and hoard these, I know I have already started. I also added to the clusters some heavily distressed sections of Burlap Ribbon. And some Jute Cording was made in a bow and tied through the Laser Cut keys as shown in the project. I added in some Crushed Stones and dry brushed my project with white gesso. And lastly, I made some splatters using the Caramel Chalk Mist along with White Ink.
