Welcome back 49 and market friends.

I am back with another project using my new favourite collection, Vintage Artistry Essentials. I am so drawn to everything about this collection. But where to start, well the papers are just amazing. The details are incredibly beautiful. So for this project, I decided to let the papers speak for themselves. This is called “Life”.

My memory used for this project was of a camping trip made as a family over 13 years ago to Canarvon Gorge. A very memorable trip for our family. And as always I was dawdling behind, busy taking photos of the scenery and of my beautiful family. So for the project as always my starting point was the photo. I chose the background paper for the project next. I decided on using “Affirmative” for this and I did absolutely nothing to the background except for adding in a few little white splatters of ink here and there.

I used the Vintage Artistry ephemera bits to build up my base for my photo. In this pack of glorious goodies, you will find some photo frames and other ticket pieces and foliage which I have used to do this. I cut one frame smaller and layered them on top of each other using boards in between to give more dimension. To the right of this, I added in some tickets and the foliage. Amongst these pieces, I added in some paper moulds from my overflowing stash. These were cut to fit amongst the clusters and then I added in some gorgeous Blue Raspberry Sugar Petals and a couple of the Garden Seeds in Linen. These were all dry brushed with white gesso. Splatters of ink were added in over the top.

Finishing off the page I used the title “Today” from the Vintage Artistry Essentials chipboard pack and elements from the Wishing Bubbles and Trinkets pack. I also added in a few differing-sized art stones with gel medium and called it finished. Sometimes I would keep embellishing but today I decided less is more. I hope you enjoyed my project here.
