A very warm welcome to the 49andMarket blog today.
For those of you who looooooove flowers as much as I do, you are in for a special treat. I have a layout jammed packed full of 49andMarket Rustic Bloom goodies. I have swapped over collections again and have returned to the gorgeous Vintage Artistry papers. See for yourself below.
I love to create with photos that have a very special memory for me. And this photo is one of them. It was taken about 5 years ago now, on Australia Day. The kids and I found a quite little area at Beachmere to take our two beautiful dogs “Sam” and “Gusbus” for a swim. Unfortunately neither dog is with us anymore, and 5 years on we all still think of them constantly, none more than my son who loved these two to bits. He and Sam were of the same age as we got her when I was pregnant with Hayden. So yes this is a very meaningful photo and I only hope I have done it justice!
Funnily enough with this layout my starting point was actually the blooms. I wanted to ensure that painting, inking and or spraying the blooms would not ruin them and that the colour would hold and be the same. And what would you know all of the above happened. These Rustic Blooms are of the very best quality and using any form of media on them does not harm their quality. So I sat back and relaxed and did some handpainting with Acrylic Paints to change up the colour of the flowers. Taking the centre pieces out helped with this process.
For this layout I have also included lots and lots of Dusty Attic Chipboards. I then tackled these beauties with lots of layers of texture mediums to get the outcome I was looking for. Because my son was in the photo and because I was also using blooms I felt I needed to add a lot of extra grungy rustic pieces to take the emphasis off the prettiness of the blooms.
Here is a closer up view of the chipboards . I have used lots of Texture Crackle Pastes, Rusting elements and Rust Pastes along with Crackle Accents to achieve this.
Above you can see the layering of some of the ephemera cut from the Vintage Artistry cut out sheet. I have listed below for you all 49andMarket goodies used to complete this layout.
Well that is all from me today. I hope you have enjoyed your visit here. Don’t forget to visit again soon as our very talented Design Team have more creativness to share with you.
Until next time…..happy scrapping.
