Hello, 49 and Market fans!
It’s Antonia here sharing a new project! Many times you ask me how I know which photo to use on my scrapbooks. After many years of creating layouts, I just choose those photos that talk to me: maybe that’s a kid’s look, a big smile, a wonderful landscape, or a different kind of shoot. I love playing with photos of children because they are more natural. But I also like those photos made by professional or amateur photographers, as they know how to make the better shots. Of course, I also use personal photos and less professional ones, as they are full of memories. And, of course, I always gift the layout to the parents or photographers as a thank you for their trust in my work.
This being said, I hope you now understand why I have chosen today’s photo, made by Mariola. It is full of life, happiness, and an intense joyful look. It was perfect to play with some of the latest 49&Market collections!
First things first, I tried to find the best papers and finally I used one from VA Mango and one from VA Naturalist. As you know, I do love mix and match collections. With both papers, I created a background with a middle crease to add interest. When this was done I started to mat the photo with brown and green paper embellishments, no matter which collections they were from, that’s the magic of working with papers.
Afterward, I glued down all the layers and added flowers and leaves until I was satisfied with the result. Made sure all around the 2mm cardboard was inked and added bubbles and baubles and art stones as final touches.
