Hello, 49 and Market fans! Antonia with you today sharing my last layout for 2021, but happy to be with you all one more year! In today’s project I had a real challenge! The mother of this beautiful model girl, Sofia asked me to create a layout without layering or framing the photo. If you follow my work, you know how much do I love to mat the photo with lots of layers. So it was going to be difficult for me. In addition, I chose what she called a “difficult photo” as it barely has any color, apart from black and gold. But instead of thinking of it as a difficulty, I soon realized I had the perfect paper collection: In the Leaves has a dark and a “gold” kind of paper and they seemed perfect to me to create this project.

So first thing was thinking about the design. Contrary to what I usually do, I first cut out a piece of the yellow paper, which was going to be on the top. Afterwards, I cut the dark paper and glued it down onto the yellow one and onto a 2mm cardboard base. When it came to work with the composition, I thought about two different products I have on my stash: In the Leaves Foliage and the Bookplates. On this link you can check my previous layout created with Bookplates, which I adore because they give a versatile image to any project!

I was decided to use the bookplate as the focus point of my layout, so I surrounded it by foliage and flowers to create a composition I liked. During this work, I also decided that the photo, without any matting or frame, would be over it. So I glued lots of foliage and flowers around it. To make the composition be complete, I used some transfers here and there and they did much to the project. In fact, I felt really happy with the result. These embellishments do the whole work!

I just had to add some wishing bubbles and trinkets, some beads and art stones to finish the layout.
