Hello everyone! Karola here again with another 49 and Market inspiration for you!
Have you ever wondered how rarely we scrap our own photos? I mean: photos of us – scrappers, womens, ladies, wives, girlfriends, mothers, daughters, sisters, aunties etc. etc… As I noticed recently, we truly love to scrap photos of others: our family, kids, pets, places, vacation time, weddings… but… you know what? We also deserve layouts so that the next generation can remember us. In my humble opinion – there is nothing about being snobbish or self-loving, it’s just another keepsake for our beloved ones. So… After this long introduction I have a layout for you today with a photo of me, decorated using amazingly stunning Scents of Nature collection.
I hope, I no need to assure that it’s an absolutely beautiful collection, full of various colors and designs, especially floral ones – perfect for any occasion photos? Yep, that’s true.
I started with the background and Paradise paper, then I used white modeling paste and masking here and there with “handwritting”pattern to add interesting texture and more shabby look. I fussy cut out beautiful floral clusters from Chatty Birds and Clockworks papers to create a few layers on my page. On the edges of cutouts and on the large frame added white crackle paint – another tip to create shabby chic look in a modern twist.
I chosed “Full Happiness” words from Strawberry Fields Stamp Set for my title, stamped using brown ink pad on paper piece from the same collection, then cut out words and stick as separate embellishment.
Next step – flowers! How sad would the world be without flowers! Especially scrapbooking world! We all in 49 and Market team are truly happy to use amazing flowers in various shapes, sizes and colors, if you have never tried these beauties, you must start. I’m sure you fall in love with them! For my today’s layout I chose brand new Floral Mixology packs: Pina Colada and Pink Flamingo as well as gorgeous older green flowers (maybe you still have them in your stash?). As always I added a bit of white gesso on the top to tone colors and add texture.
Have a wonderful month of July!
