Hello!
It’s Nuneka here and I want to show you a very easy but gorgeous layout you can try with your kiddos photos. All you need is a beautiful photo with not much detail in the background, your most favorite 49 and Market papers, some colors and wonderful 49 and Market embellishments (flowers, layered elements, wishing bubbles…). So let’s get started.
I selected my favorite paper (High School) from Old School paper collection and protected it with clear gesso. I wanted to keep the paper design but add a touch of color matching with the shades on the photo, so I used Distress Oxides to kind of extend the horizon in the image. This part was a lot of fun and I also added the same colors of the flowers I wanted to use in the composition.
There was a carboard rocket in the photo and I thought it would be fun to create one using another paper form the collection (School Days). I placed chipboards pieces underneath to add dimension and started building the composition with some beautiful flowers (salmon Enchanted Petals and butterscotch Sugar Petals) and Layered Embellishments (Wander).
I used some stamps (Wander Stamp Set and Captured Adventures Stamp Set 1) and I was very gentle when doing it because I really wanted the images to seem to be part of the original paper design. I added some Wishing Bubbles and nuance the flowers with white gesso. And to finish my project, I took a piece of the brand band of one of the papers with words Friends Forever and placed it beside the photo.
