Hello 49 and Market friends!
I am back today sharing my 2nd post for July and decided to create something a bit different and go back to the days I used to only scrap grungy layouts. Yes, believe it or not, but once upon a time I claimed to be a grungy scrapper, with no need for pretties and flowers. Hahaha, how wrong was I then, yet I’d like to revisit that time, with the exception of adding flowers.
I started off by cutting lots of strips and squares from my scrap pieces of the Bold and Beautiful collection papers and made a collage to create a background for my photo. Once I was satisfied, I added a layer of gel medium, followed by white gesso.
Once the gesso was dry I added soft splashes of [email protected] water colour paint to add some colour. Next I used 49 and Market stamps to randomly stamp the area with both gray and black Archival Ink. As you can see I included beautiful Dusty Attic Chipboard, [email protected] stickers, and cotton to create that grungy look.
I matted my photo on a small piece of Bold and Beautiful paper and added lots of laser cut flowers on the sides of the photo. I then added my these beautiful Stargazer Flowers, probably my favourite amongst all the flowers in the 49 And Market range.
I decided to embellish my layout using our stunning new Wishing Bubbles, in combination with Dusty Attic Chipboard words. To finish it off, I used a splatter-brush to splatter tiny splatters of black and white gesso from [email protected]
