‘Escape’

Helloooo, lovely wonderful people!!

And… Welcome to my first post and project for 49 and Market!! It is such an honour to be here, and to be playing with these fantastic products.

So without further ado, here is my layout for the post…

I used the paper called ‘Seedling‘ to start my layout, and I have found with mixed media layouts, preparation is key!! Giving the paper a coat of clear gesso means you can messy!!!!!

Although, after this was done I did some background stamping with Dandelions and Loose Threads.

Some Vintage Artistry Ephemera, fussy cut and layered behind my photo. I used colours to tie in with the tail of my mermaid.

The background was made using stencils, 3D gel with a bright orange acrylic paint, some chipboard pieces, embossing powder… loads of yummy mixed media products!

I chose the title ‘Escape’ because who wouldn’t want to dive head first into a magical world, escape to another place.

Now, aren’t these flowers just divine?! Again I picked a gorgeous rusty red and oranges to match the tail, teals for sea colours, and each got an extra dose of colour in the centre to darken and add depth to them. To give a foamy, bubbly feel I added some white art stones over the top.

Here’s the packs that I used:

Rustic Melon and Burlap

Rustic Poinsettia Canvas Blooms

Rustic Green Mini Daisy Blooms

Rustic Canvas and Burlap Small Blooms
